Question HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work Question Someone here MUST know how to get Realtek HD Manager working with WIN10!!! I might just return the cable and buy a bi-way instead. If anyone has any advice still, I'm game.

I tried hooking it up to various things and found some interesting results: UPDATE: I may have bought the wrong adapter. Using the display menu or FN+F1 doesn't recognize it either. The VGA cable has a little rust buildup on one end. The monitor is around 10 years old, but still works. However, it does recognize my TV with a straight HDMI cable and it does so without incident, and runs both screens at once. My laptop/Windows 10 doesn't recognize the external monitor.

I bought a Moread adapter that has a VGA female and an HDMI male connection, but when I plug everything in, nothing happens. I wanted to use it as a second screen for my laptop, an Alienware 17 with an HDMI in/out port. The monitor itself is an emachine LCD model with a VGA connection. Recently I found an old monitor of mine from an old desktop.
